The Welsh Government’s Commercial Procurement Directorate is establishing a Welsh public sector Commercial Procurement element of the UK Knowledge Hub (Khub). This can act as a virtual Welsh procurement community, which will be particularly useful to help bring people together during these times of remote working and isolation due to the coronavirus pandemic, and provide access to our online training and resources.
The Knowledge Hub is an online portal that allows public sector colleagues to connect digitally to collaborate, communicate, and share knowledge and best practice.
The portal will provide the profession with the opportunity to connect groups, people and networks across the Welsh procurement community through a shared area for resources and discussions. We will use the portal to share best practice and updates on our work to develop commercial capability skills. Early ideas include hosting case studies and capability newsletters (i.e. what’s coming soon, initiatives under development, any training that may be available) plus links to the current and emerging eLearning that will be developed around new procurement policy areas.
We will be the facilitator of the portal to shape and develop the content so that it reflects the needs of the Welsh procurement community. We are very keen to hear your views and ideas on what you would like to see included in the Khub, as it will be ‘your area’, so it needs to be fit for purpose.
