Vale of Glamorgan council introduce new parking charges

THE Vale council has unveiled new car parking charges in the region.

This will not come into effect until the Covid-19 restrictions have been lifted across Wales.

It was announced in October of last year that the council would press ahead with plans to introduce parking charges.

A Vale of Glamorgan Council spokesperson said: “Car parking charges are to be introduced at Cosmeston and Porthkerry Country Parks, Wyndham Street, Barry and Town Hall, Cowbridge.

MORE NEWS:

“This matter has been fully considered by the Council’s Cabinet and Scrutiny Committees following a statutory consultation period relating to the implementation of Traffic Regulation Orders.

“However, these charges will not take effect until Covid-19 restrictions have been lifted, ticket machines have been installed and appropriate displacement parking controls implemented in the case of Cosmeston Country Park.”
