Vale 50+ Strategy Forum

Help us create an environment in which people fifty and over can fulfill their aims and objectives in life. Fight age discrimination and help preserve and promote the independence, dignity and positive image of people fifty and over and work to ensure that they have appropriate and adequate public care provision.

What we do

We meet regularly and discuss all aspects of transport issues, be that bus, train, car, bike or anything else to do with transport.

History

The Transport Task Group was set up in January 2007 with an aim to Influence decision making on strategy planning, policy making & service delivery in the Vale of Glamorgan and wider community.​

Meetings

The Transport Group meets every two months from 1.30pm-3.30pm at the Civic Offices in Barry. Meetings are open to all.

New terminal and hotel in Cardiff Airport 20-year plan

Welsh government-owned Cardiff Airport, which is based near Rhoose in the Vale of Glamorgan, reiterated its plan to grow from 1.5 million to three million passengers, and said the airport must be integrated into both local and national planning.
