Special General Meeting.

The meeting will be taking place at 10:00am – 12:00pm on Thursday 16th June and held in the Corporate Suite of the Civic Offices, Holton Road, Barry, CF63 4RU.

The meeting will provide an opportunity for us to catch up with one another face to face as we hear from a speaker, a member of the Older Peoples Commissioner’s team will be speaking about the cost of living and plans post COVID, ratify the voting of the new Chair, Vice Chair and new Executive Board Members, and discuss the findings from the recent Age Friendly Vale and Vale 50+ Strategy Forum survey. Many thanks again to all those who completed the survey.

The Special General Meeting is open to all members, partners and interested stakeholders, so please feel free to extend the invitation to a friend or colleague to come along and enjoy the meeting with some free refreshments.

Voting

All Forum members have the opportunity to vote at the meeting on the ratification of the new Chair and new Executive Members. If you are unable to attend but would still like to have your say it can be arranged for your vote to be given in your absence. If you would like to arrange a proxy vote please contact the Council’s Strategy and Partnership Team by the 1st June who will provide you with the necessary details for voting.

A copy of the meeting papers and free refreshments will be provided and although you can just turn up on the day, a RSVP will greatly help us with planning the meeting, in particular in ordering refreshments. Please can you also contact us if you would like the papers in Welsh, large print or if you have any particular access requirements.

To let us know if you are attending, about any access requirements and for details about proxy voting you can get in touch with the Team by calling the Council’s Contact Centre on 01446 700111 or emailing [email protected]  Someone will get in touch with you as soon as possible about any queries.

I look forward to seeing you there,

Lynda Wallis, Vale 50+ Strategy Forum Chairperson
