FUNDRAISING has begun to pay for vet bills for a puppy who was wrapped in a carrier bag and dumped from a car.
The puppy, with a chronic skin condition, was thrown from a car in Rhondda.
It was taken in by staff at Friends of Animals Wales’ shop in Williamstown, before being taken to the rescue centre in Ton Pentre.
Fortunately, the puppy suffered no long-term injuries.
Tests are being carried out to discover the cause of the puppy’s skin condition and it is hoped he will recover.
How you can help
Friends of Animals Wales are fundraising for his treatment.
You can give to the cause here.
A statement on the rescue centre’s Facebook page said: “This pup was spotted being dumped from a car in a carrier bag two weeks ago.
“Fortunately, he has suffered no long-term injury from his experience but has a chronic skin condition he is being treated for.
“He is having tests at our vets to find the cause and once he has recovered, we can start his vaccinations.
“Any donations towards his treatment would be very welcome.
“Unfortunately, no details of the vehicle were recorded as the finder was focused on saving the pup.”
