Penarth and Sully drivers in court

TWO people from Penarth have appeared in court in the past week for driving offences.

Alan Geoffrey Dale, 36, of Stacey Road, Dinas Powys, was banned from driving for six months for driving without insurance.

He was caught on August 31 in Newport and was found guilty by Newport Magistrates Court on April 5. Alongside the ban, he was fined £660 and ordered to pay a £66 surcharge and £90 costs.

Kieran James Morris, 32, of South Road, Sully, admitted failing to stop at the scene of a road accident at Cardiff Magistrates Court on March 29.

On November 4, his Ford Transit was involved in a collision with a Citroen C1 on Port Road, Culverhouse Cross. He failed to stop and was fined £265 and given six points on his licence. He also had to pay a £34 surcharge and £85 costs.

He received no further penalty for admitting charges of failing to report an accident and driving without due care and attention.
