Look who’s just been in court from Barry and Penarth

A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court.

DEAN CARLING, 24, of Ffordd Y Mileniwm, Barry, was ordered to pay £2,021 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for breaching coronavirus restrictions by contravening a requirement not to participate in a gathering in private on February 27.

KRISTY RHIANNON HARDING, 41, of Holmes Street, Barry, was ordered to pay £2,026 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for breaching coronavirus restrictions by contravening a requirement not to participate in a gathering in private at Hunter Street on February 6.

GERAINT JOHN BESSANT, 38, of Pendoylan Close, Barry, was banned from driving for 12 months for driving without insurance on Merthyr Dyfan Road on May 12.

He was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.

JACQUELINE HARRISON, 59, of Plassey Street, Penarth, was ordered to pay £125 in a fine and compensation after she admitted assault by beating at Cadoxton Railway Station on January 15.

WAYNE CHRISTOPHER GURD, 47, of Port Road East, Barry, was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after he failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.

His driving record was endorsed with six points.

GREGORY MILLS, 58, of Tan Y Fron, Barry, was ordered to pay £257 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for driving on Bron-Y-Mor when he was using a hand-held mobile telephone on May 20.

His driving record was endorsed with six points.

GARETH EDWARD BOUSIE, 43, of Plas Cae Llwyd, Llanbradach, Caerphilly, was ordered to pay £970 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for breaching coronavirus restrictions at Heol Ty Draw, Barry, by leaving or remaining away from a place where he was living without a reasonable excuse on February 25.
