Look who’s been in court from Barry, Rhoose and Sully

A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court.

AARON PANTING, 22, of Clive Road, Barry, was sentenced to a two-year community order after he pleaded guilty to harassment.

He was made the subject of a 20-day rehabilitation activity requirement, told carry out 180 hours of unpaid work and attend a 35-day “building better relationships” programme, fined £340, pay £85 costs and a £95 surcharge.

JORDAN KARNICKI, 23, of Greenacres, Barry, was jailed for 12 weeks, suspended for two years, after he was found guilty following a trial of driving while disqualified on Dyfan Road on March 23.

He was banned from driving for 30 months, fined £1,000 and ordered to pay £620 costs and a £128 surcharge.

MATTHEW MICHAEL PHILLIPS, 27, of Amroth Court, Barry, was ordered to pay £1,014 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.

His driving record was endorsed with six points.

JANE MARIE LAWRENCE,48, of Cei Tir Y Castell, Barry, was banned from driving for six months for driving when she was using a hand-held mobile telephone on Cowbridge Road West, Cardiff, on July 18.

She was ordered to pay £398 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.

JOSEPH MINTON, 39, of Court Road, Barry, was ordered to pay £1,014 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.

His driving record was endorsed with six points.

AINSLEY ANTHONY OSCAR BRIDGEMAN, 64, of Salisbury Road, Barry, was banned from driving for six months after he pleaded guilty to driving without insurance and driving without a licence on Newport Road, Rumney, Cardiff, on June 18.

He was ordered to pay £216 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.

MARK JOHN ROBERTS, 59, of Rhoose Road, Rhoose, was ordered to pay £164 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for speeding at 35mph in a 30mph zone on Cowbridge Road, Talygarn, Pontyclun, on June 13.

His driving record was endorsed with three points.

KYLE HILL, 30, of Hayes Road, Sully, was ordered to pay £1,014 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.

His driving record was endorsed with six points.
