In court from Barry, Rhoose and Cardiff

A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court.

TAMMY PRITCHARD, 39, of Goodwick Close, Barry, conditionally discharged for six months after she pleaded guilty to depositing controlled waste, two black bags, on the pavement at St Fagan’s Street, Cardiff, without the authority of an environmental permit issued under the Environmental Protection Act 1990 on or around November 10, 2020.

She was ordered to pay £122 in costs and a surcharge.

ANTHONY JOSEPH STANTON, 79, of St Fagans Avenue, Barry, was ordered to pay £224 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for driving without a licence on Newport Road, Old St Mellons, Cardiff, on November 2.

His driving licence was endorsed with three points.

KARL MICHAEL WEBBER, 47, of Harlech Gardens, Barry, was ordered to pay £344 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for being the driver of a vehicle who caused it or a part of it to stop within the limits of a pelican crossing on Winston Road on June 13.

His driving licence was endorsed with three points.

MARC ANTHONY DUTTON, 41, of Margaret Avenue, Barry, was banned from driving for six months for driving without insurance on Port Road, Wenvoe, on September 23.

He was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.

JENNA LOUISE BAILEY, 37, of Ramsey Road, Barry, was ordered to pay £284 in fines, costs and a surcharge for driving without insurance and driving without a licence on Buttrills Road on November 2.

Her driving licence was endorsed with six points.

LEWIS CHRISTOPHER DAVIES, 19, of Port Road, Rhoose, was conditionally discharged for 12 months after he pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine and possession of cannabis in Barry on March 31.

He was ordered to pay a £22 surcharge.

LEIGH MADISON JAMES, 30, of Port Road, Rhoose, was conditionally discharged for 12 months after admitted possession of bromazolam, a class C drug, in Barry on May 8.

He was ordered to pay a £22 surcharge.

MICHAEL CLARKE, 75, of Lansdowne Avenue West, Canton, Cardiff, was banned from driving for 20 months after he pleaded guilty to drink driving on Dragonfly Drive, Rhoose, on October 1.

He was ordered to pay £344 in fines, costs and a surcharge.

DARREN PAUL HYDE, 36, of Williams Crescent, Barry, was ordered to pay £180 in costs and a fine after he admitted failing to comply with supervision requirements imposed following his release from a period of imprisonment.
