May is National Walking Month!

Hello LYNDA,

Every year we say National Walking Month is a “celebration of walking”. This year we mean it more than ever.

Because, with the coronavirus crisis meaning that we should only be going outside when necessary, going for a walk has never felt so valuable.

So this extraordinary National Walking Month, it’s all about walking safely. We’ve loads of ways to get involved – here are three.

1. Be inspired

Are you finding congested streets, narrow pavements and dangerous roads mean staying two metres apart is not so easy? Ask your council to do what they can to make more space for walking.
