After a short break The ReBUILD Project is returning with a new focus on how to use creativity to promote wellbeing within ourselves. These new sessions will be hosted by two of our volunteers Gilli-ann and Nathan, who will guide us through fun and simple activities that help us to tap into our creative side (whether you feel you have one or not), whilst we chat about a given subject to complement the session. Take a moment, spend some time for you, and connect with others. Starting Monday 21st September, 11am. Read more

The Black Lives Matter movement has highlighted to us all the issues and barriers faced everyday here and abroad by our Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) patients, colleagues and friends. It has also drawn our attention to the many ways in which we need to continue to progress and change to remove these barriers. Read more
We are inviting people from all across Wales to contribute feature articles (up to 2000 words) or online arts projects or interventions for our thematic monthly editions. Contributions are invited in any media that can be hosted on the web platform, including video and sound and embedded media. Read more
Funding
We are putting together a new mailing list that will focus on providing more in-depth information regarding potential funding opportunities in The Vale. Read more
GVS, with thanks to funding from Comic Relief, is administering a small grants scheme to help voluntary groups in the Vale of Glamorgan. Small grants are available up to a maximum of £500. Read more
Changes to offer new funding to provide survival and recovery support for voluntary organisations in Wales during the Covid-19 pandemic. Read more
Health
Branch-focused organisations established in the 1930s. Membership is made up of local pensioners’ social groups, which are organised into regions. Affiliation fees are based on the number of members in the group. Each region sends representatives to the Executive Committee meetings (usually held in Aberdare). Read more
Businesses across Wales and England like pubs, restaurants, hairdressers and cinemas, are being encouraged to have NHS QR code posters visible on entry, so customers who have downloaded the new NHS COVID-19 app can use their smartphones to easily check-in. Read more
