The Vale of Glamorgan Council is committed to securing the future of Penarth Pier Pavilion as a community facility following the news that Penarth Arts & Crafts Ltd (PACL) have surrendered the lease on the building. Read more
The Vale of Glamorgan Council recently held a consultation on the Active Travel Network Map for the County. We had a fantastic response with over 4500 contributions to the network being made. Read more

Funding

Small and local charities with a yearly income of £25,000 to £1 million who are helping people experiencing complex social issues can now apply for a two-year unrestricted grant of £50,000. Read more
Funding Wales will help connect Wales’ charities, community groups and social enterprises with the funding they need. Read more
Localgiving’s Magic Little Grant Fund is doubling the number of grants it gives in 2021 to new or very small groups and organisations. By the end of the year, £2.25 million will have been granted to 4,500 projects. Read more
The Legacy Futures Awards aim to support people working in the gifts In Wills and In Memory sectors through three Awards: The Crispin Ellison Bursary Awards, The Legacy Future Leader Award and The Legacy Futures Innovation Award. Read more

Volunteering Wales Grants is a scheme funded by the Welsh Government to promote and improve volunteering in Wales. Read more
The Vale of Glamorgan Mayor’s Foundation Grant Fund is inviting applications from Community Groups, the Voluntary Sector and not for profit organisations. Groups can apply for grants between £100 and £250 to help support the work of voluntary and charitable organisations within the Vale of Glamorgan. Read more
As the first anniversary of lockdown approaches, the funding package has boosted the arts, heritage, sport and community/charity sector and helped protect the future of thousands of organisations across Wales during the last year. Read more

New Mass Vaccination Centre to open for the Cardiff and Vale of Glamorgan population Cardiff and Vale University Health Board will be opening a fourth Mass Vaccination Centre as part of its Mass Vaccination programme to protect its adult population from Covid 19 as quickly as possible. Read more

Events
The Jewish History Association of South Wales received a Coronavirus Recovery Grant for Volunteering from the Welsh Government. The aim of this 10-week-long project is to develop a strategic plan for sustainable volunteering and an effective volunteering infrastructure. We are organising a workshop to share our learning and are inviting all interested organisations and community groups across Wales to join us. Read more
