Key information: The Cardiff and Vale Integrated Health and Social Care Partnership has allocated £51,000 in total, to support third sector community activities and services for older people in the Vale of Glamorgan, in response to Covid-19.  Closing date: 12 noon on Friday, 11th June 2021. The Citizens Advice 2021 Scams Awareness Campaign will take place from 14 – 27 June. This annual campaign is all about creating a network of confident, #ScamAware Cardiff and Vale consumers who are able to recognise a scam, report it to the appropriate agency and talk about their experiences to help raise public awareness of scams. ProMo-Cymru has put together a short survey to learn about the kind of digital support the third sector may need and the experience of using digital since the COVID pandemic. Read More

The Strong Communities Grant Fund offers grants to community groups, voluntary organisations and Town and Community Councils towards the cost of initiatives within the Vale of Glamorgan that help to support the Council’s vision of “Strong Communities with a bright future”. Read More
Cardiff & Vale Health Charity has allocated funding to support third sector community projects to enhance the Health and Wellbeing of people in the region through creative solutions. The maximum that can be applied for is £5,000. This is both a REVENUE and CAPITAL grant. Assaults on emergency workers in Wales are on the rise, new data has revealed. More than 4,240 assaults were committed against emergency workers, including police, fire and ambulance crews, in the period April 2019 – November 2020, representing a monthly average increase from 202 in 2019 to 222 in 2020, or 10%.
