Child Poverty – We Want to Hear Your Thoughts

GVS would like to talk to parents, carers and organisations that work with children and young people. We would like to get your views on what the revised Welsh Government’s Child Poverty Strategy should include. If you would like to share your experiences and thoughts come along give your point of view. Your views will be forwarded to Welsh Government and will help shape the future. Vale local Voluntary Sector organisations encouraged to nominate representatives for the Voluntary Sector Joint Liaison Committee

GVS facilitates the involvement of the Voluntary Sector on this Committee.  Four vacancies have arisen for Voluntary Sector Representatives. Unpaid Carers “Short Breaks” Grant Scheme 2022/23

The Cardiff and Vale Regional Partnership Board in partnership with Cardiff Third Sector Council (C3SC) and Glamorgan Voluntary Services (GVS) have allocated £283,800 in total, to support unpaid carers with short breaks from their caring role. The Fund is administered by C3SC in partnership with GVS. The programme is open for applications from 20th February 2023 with a deadline for submission of 10th March 2023. Read More
