Do you find it easier to be yourself online?

[ad_1]

A new study for Safer Internet Day has found more than a third of young people find it easier to be themselves online than offline – and they aren’t alone in this phenomenon.

As the internet becomes a larger fixture of modern life, many people report that they find it easier to express themselves and communicate with others online than it is to do so face to face.

People also rely on the internet to build their identities – nearly half of all young people surveyed said who they are online is an essential part of who they are offline.

Do you find it easier to be yourself online? Are you more direct with your opinions, or perhaps find it’s easier to communicate how you feel? And if so, is this a positive development, or a negative one? Share your views at Speakers Corner.
