Digital Exclusion consultation

Description about the research and survey:

Vale of Glamorgan, alongside 5 other Local Authorities – Blaenau Gwent, Monmouthshire, Torfaen, Caerphilly and Rhondda Cynon Taff, have been awarded funding from the Welsh Government’s Digital Transformation Fund to carry out a 6-week study around Digital Exclusion. A team of researchers will gather data from ACL learners and tutors, Employability provisions and their participants, as well as other community groups/organisations, and individuals across the boroughs involved. The study will help us understand the usage of digital devices, degree of connectivity, and level of digital skills of people living across these areas. It will also help us think about how we might better support residents with using IT for everyday activities.

As part of the research we are keen to get a wide representation of people living in the borough to complete a short online questionnaire about their digital skills and needs. There are no more than 14 questions and the completion of the survey normally takes 3 minutes. Therefore, it would be really helpful if you could share this survey with your service users/participants!

The survey has in total 14 questions and the average time to complete it is 3 minutes. The closing day is the 19th of March.
