Coronavirus – how we can all help each other

I hope you’ve been getting on alright with the new guidance to stay at home. This has been a really difficult time for all of us, and particularly those over 70.

Right now, we’re focusing all our energy on helping older people through the coronavirus emergency. While it’s been challenging, I’ve been truly touched by the number of you who have reached out to ask me how you can help.

I know that so many more of you will be looking to lend a hand to the older people in your communities, so I wanted to share with you our list of five practical ways to help right now.

Whether it’s by having a chat, running an errand or just showing you care, together we can make a real difference to the older people who have found themselves isolated by this crisis.

I also know that a lot of you will be really worried at the moment and might not be in a position to help others. If you need information, advice or just someone to talk to then Age UK is here for you. Our online coronavirus hub has loads of information on how to keep safe, busy and well while staying at home, and you can also use the phone numbers at the bottom of this email.
