Coronavirus cases for Vale of Glamorgan over entire pandemic

THE areas of the Vale of Glamorgan with the lowest cases of coronavirus throughout the pandemic have been revealed.

According to Public Health Wales’ daily data there has been 7,436 cases (at the time of publication) of coronavirus in the Vale of Glamorgan throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.

In a breakdown of cases in each area of the Vale, throughout the entire pandemic, it was revealed that four areas in the Vale had a total case rate of less than 400 (at the time of publication).

Which four areas in Vale of Glamorgan have the lowest case rates throughout the pandemic?

Ogmore-by-Sea and Llandow have had the lowest case rate throughout the coronavirus pandemic according to Public Health Wales.

263 cases have been reported in Ogmore-by-Sea and Llandow throughout the coronavirus pandemic; this equates to 4353.6 cases per 100,000.

Barry Dyfan and Illtyd have had the second lowest number of cases in the Vale throughout the pandemic according to Public Health Wales.

315 cases have been reported in Barry Dyfan and Illytd throughout the pandemic; this equates to 5,739.8 cases per 100,000.

Cowbridge has had the third lowest number of coronavirus cases throughout the pandemic based on these statistics, with 319 cases reported to Public Health Wales throughout the pandemic.

Although Cowbridge has had a few more cases than Barry Dyfan and Illytd it has a lower amount of cases per 100,000 due to size and population. The 319 cases in Cowbridge equates to 4952.6 cases per 100,000.

Llantwit Major is the fourth and final area with less than 400 cases throughout the pandemic based on these statistics.

According to Public Health Wales Llantwit Major has had 365 cases of the virus throughout the pandemic. Although Llantwit Major has had more cases than the other three areas mentioned it has the lowest rate of cases per 100,000 out of these four – 4074.1 cases per 100,000.
