Construction, facilities management and utilities news round-up July 2020

Facilities management 2 (FM2) – pest control, fire maintenance, security, kitchen equipment maintenance (NPS-CFM-0045-16)

Due to priority COVID-19 related work, regional arrangements being undertaken by local government to ensure continuity of service would not have been in place before the FM2 framework’s original expiry date of October 2020. To ensure continuity of service for customers the Framework has been extended by 6 months to 30 April 2021.  While supported by the guidance within Procurement Policy note 001, customers should be aware that this extension is outside of the original framework term. A Voluntary Ex-Ante Transparency (VEAT) notice has been published via Sell2Wales which provides transparency and informs the market about this out of term extension.

Facilities management 3 (FM3) – maintenance and installation of passenger and goods lifts and domestic stair-lifts (NPS-CFM-0073-17)

The original FM3 framework agreement included an option to extend the framework by a period of 12 months. This option has been taken and the framework will now be live until 31 July 2021. Local government will be taking forward an alternative approach to be in place from August 2021.

Framework agreement for the provision of rock salt (NPS-CFM-0102-20)

Our framework for the provision of Rock Salt and associated products is now live and available for the Welsh public sector to use. The agreement is a 12 month contract, offering a compliant and competitive route to market for customers wishing to order a range of highways de-icing products.

A full procurement exercise will be undertaken for a longer term framework to commence in July 2021.
