Arts Crafts and Leisure Group meeting January 28th 2020.

Arts Crafts and Leisure Group met for the first time in 2020 on January 28th. Chair wished members present a Happy New Year ! It certainly will be an eventful one for the Arts in the Vale of Glamorgan, as there is an Arts Consultation taking place from February 3rd to March 23rd. In Barry this will determine the future of Art Central Gallery which is housed on the ground floor of the County Library. The Gallery is visited by the ACL Group on a regular basis. Also, members of this group support Art Central Friends,  who through subscriptions fund both artist exhibitions and related social activities within the Gallery. Currently the Holocaust Exhibition is on display. Every year this acknowledges Holocaust Day on January 27th. The gallery is the only purpose Gallery in Barry and plays an important role in promoting the Arts throughout the generations.
The consultation can be accessed both online and through a hard copy, for those members not online. Chair will provide these plus an SAE, before the expiry date to members that require them..
