Age Alliance Wales
Age Alliance Wales (AAW) was set up in 2003 and is funded by the Welsh Government. It is a powerful alliance of 23 national voluntary organisations committed to working together to develop the legislative, policy and resource frameworks that will improve the lives of older people in Wales.
Our vision is to live in a society where older people are respected and enabled to meet their aspirations. Our Core Purpose is to provide support services for those members of our community over 50 years of age.
Your local Age Cymru helps with things like befriending, shopping, transport, filling in forms, advocacy, social activities, exercise classes and much more.
Ageing Well in Wales
Ageing Well in Wales is a national Programme hosted by the Older People’s Commissioner for Wales. It brings together individuals and communities with public, private and voluntary sectors to develop and promote innovative and practical ways to make Wales a good place to grow older for everyone.
Bevan Foundation (The)
The Bevan Foundation is Wales’ most influential and innovative think tank. We develop lasting solutions to poverty, inequality and injustice and we help to improve people’s lives.
Care and Repair
Care and Repair helps older people live in safety and comfort in their own homes. As a charity working through our network across Wales, we deliver practical help through 13 agencies.
Across Wales there are 370,000 carers who, unpaid support a loved one who is older, disabled or seriously ill.
Carers across Wales provide 96% of care and as our loved ones are living longer with illness or disability, more and more of us will be looking after them.
Diverse Cymru is a unique Welsh charity committed to supporting people faced with inequality and discrimination because of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex and sexual orientation.

Future Generations Act
The Well-being of Future Generations Act requires public bodies in Wales to think about the long-term impact of their decisions, to work better with people, communities and each other, and to prevent persistent problems such as poverty, health inequalities and climate change.
