We have an opportunity for some of your readers to directly influence and contribute to the work of Age Cymru and make a difference to the lives of older people across Wales.
We are currently looking for two trustees to join our passionate and dedicated board. Our Trustees set the strategic direction for Age Cymru, and use their practical skills, experience, and knowledge to support and challenge the staff team.
We welcome and value the life experience that each individual trustee brings to the governance role and welcome applications from all backgrounds. Previous trustee experience is not essential. We are particularly interested to hear from individuals with marketing and fundraising experience, from people living in north and mid Wales, Welsh speakers and people from ethnic minority groups to broaden representation.
There are six trustee meetings every year including a 2-day meeting in November. These take place on weekdays. There are papers for each meeting that require reading in advance.
Our work and members of our team are in locations across Wales; our head office is based in Cardiff. Trustee meetings take place in-person and on-line, reasonable expenses are reimbursed.
