A CHARITY shop in Barry closed its doors for the final time last Saturday after ten years.
Ty Hafan in Holton Road closed for good on November 19.
The shop, which had been open for 10 years, was one of two Ty Hafan shops in Barry,. The other is in High Street, and remains open.
Laura James, head of retail for Ty Hafan said: “Our lease was up in Holton Road, and as we already have one shop in Barry we decided that it was time to concentrate our efforts there.
“On behalf of everyone at Ty Hafan, I would like to thank all our loyal customers, donors, volunteers, and staff.
“We very much hope that people will continue to support us, and we are very much committed to continuing to work in the community which our hospice is based.”
Ty Hafan, provides care and support for children with life shortening conditions and their families in Wales at its hospice in Sully, and in homes and communities throughout the country.
It has three shops in the Vale, one in Penarth, one in Cowbridge and the third in Barry High Street.
Ms James added: “Id like to thank our staff and our volunteers for their loyal service to Ty Hafan, and we wish them well in their future endeavours.
“We are so well supported in the Vale, it is brilliant. And as we are always looking for suitable new premises to expand our retail operation, I’d love it for people to get in touch with me for new ideas.”
