The Youth Led Grants Panel are delighted to announce that applications are now open for 2022/23 Youth Led Grant fund. The fund is a grant for youth volunteering projects and activities that take place in the Vale of Glamorgan. The Panel will be awarding grants of up to £1500 over the next few months. Read More

The Vale Public Services Board (PSB) is consulting on its second Well-being Plan which will be published in May 2023. The new Well-being Plan sets out three new Well-being Objectives and the priority areas that the PSB will be focusing on over the coming years. We want to know what you think of our new Plan which has been informed by the Well-being Assessment, A View of the Vale of Glamorgan – An Assessment of Current and Future Well-being published earlier this year and by engagement over the summer. The Council is consulting on its draft Annual Delivery Plan for 2023-24. The draft Annual Delivery Plan sets out the actions we will undertake in 2023-24 as part of the delivery of the Council’s Corporate Plan for 2020 – 25. The Corporate Plan sets our priorities for a five year period whilst the draft Annual Delivery Plan details what we will take forward in 2023-24. Public Health Wales is reporting that the flu season in Wales has begun earlier than usual this year. It means that levels of flu in the community may peak around Christmas. Public health experts are urging those who are eligible for a free flu vaccine to take up the offer now, to help protect themselves and others from getting seriously ill with flu this Christmas. Minister opens Cardiff’s new state-of-the art ambulance station
The Minister for Health and Social Services, Eluned Morgan, officially opened the Welsh Ambulance Service’s new station in Cardiff yesterday. The £8 million Welsh Government-funded facility in Pontprennau is the new home of both emergency and non-emergency crews, previously based at the Blackweir station. Read More
